Adelphi is a big name in whisky, famous for their indie bottling releases even having scored a few titles for ‘Best Independent Bottler’ in their native Scotland. The company as we know it now was revived in 1993, and back in 2014 Adelphi decided to delve into making whisky themselves, setting up their new Ardnamurchan Distillery on the western highlands coast.
Shockingly the western-most point of Scotland where the distillery can be found is a pocket of the country not rampant with distilleries, no swathes of warehouses lining the shores. While there might have once been whispers of illegal whisky being made, today Ardnamurchan is the only whisky producer in this corner of the country.
